Overview
-
Integeo’s spatial hub strategy covers both proprietary and open source whereby Map Intelligence presents to the user a consistent set of location functions no matter which mapping server is deployed.
As a bundled alternative to our GIS vendor products Integeo offers a GeoServer solution which has the same range of options for Business Intelligence tools as listed in our BI section with exactly the same look and feel. Just as we have done with our other MI Servers we’ve hidden all the complexity of and need for you to understand how to utilise GeoServer.
The MI Server for GeoServer enables spatial layers stored in PostGIS, ArcSDE, Oracle Spatial, MySQL, DB2 and ‘shapefiles’ to be accessible by Map Intelligence.
GeoServer is an Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web implementation of a number of open standards such as Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS), and Web Coverage Service (WCS).
Additional formats and publication options are available including Web Map Tile Service (WMTS) and extensions for Catalogue Service (CSW) and Web Processing Service (WPS).
MI for GeoServer comes bundled with a stand-alone GeoServer version that has been extensively tested with the included MI Server. However, if you already have a recent release of GeoServer deployed and would like it to empower your business analysts with ad hoc location analysis capability then we have the tools and expertise to help you achieve this.
