SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Location Intelligence company Integeo today announced the release of Map Intelligence version 4.4.
The 4.4 release introduces a new user experience which simplifies and speeds up the cycle from intent to visualisation and analysis insights.
Integeo’s CTO Andy Meehan explains, “Our success in masking the technical complexity underpinning Map Intelligence is embodied in our user interface – the MI Viewer. Users of our product have always had a common look and feel no matter which BI tool or map provider they have, and our rapidly changing user demographic requires the MI Viewer to adapt to the skills and experience of this user spectrum.”
Roderick Ross, Integeo’s Business Development Manager confirmed, “Our beta-customer responses to the new MI Viewers have been fantastic and we’re very excited to now launch MI version 4.4 into the market. Our report author user-base remains predominantly BI literate but over the years the consumption of these reports has expanded beyond the C-suite to all areas of a business. So it’s become imperative to reduce the overhead of training our users which we’ve achieved in several ways.”
Meehan adds, “The challenge of improving our users’ experience requires conforming to evolving UI conventions so that users are working with an interface they find intuitive and which behaves as expected no matter what the users’ level of target experience or knowledge. The Map Intelligence UX has been streamlined by layering the functional complexity so that a user can quickly and easily move between regularly used functions and more complicated features with fewer clicks and no long presses.”
Ernest McCutcheon CEO of Digital Data Services GmbH observed that, “This sleek new user interface with its improved support for web-services confirms Map Intelligence as our solution of choice for delivering powerful location analytic solutions. Integeo has done a great job in making the product so simple to use for analysts and less skilled end-users without compromising functional breadth and depth.”
Map Intelligence is the only location intelligence platform fully integrated with all the major Business Intelligence products, including IBM (Cognos), SAP (Business Objects), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik View and QlikSense, Microsoft Reporting Services and Excel, and open source BIRT.
Map Intelligence is fully integrated with Esri ArcGIS Server, Pitney Bowes Spectrum Spatial and GeoServer. Map Intelligence works with tiled map services such as from Google, Mapbox, BING, ArcGIS, OpenStreetMap and any systems using Open Layers, as well as 3D views using Cesium or Google Earth.
